Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association
A professional organization devoted to the understanding and treatment of so-called gender identity "disorders." The HBIGDA Standards of Care outline the group's consensus about psychiatric, psychological, medical, and surgical approaches to treating trans people.

Transgender Health Program
Launched by Vancouver Coastal Health in June 2003 to improve transgender health services in British Columbia, this site offers an extensive online library of health information, including training materials for clinicians.

Transgender Care
Health information for transgendered people, written by professionals who specialize in caring for the trans community. Contains detailed protocols for medical treatment and detailed background on surgical procedures.

TS Roadmap
A comprehensive guide to the transition process written primarily for trans women, including practical advice for each step along the way.

Susan's Place - Transgender Resources

Gender Identity Research and Education Society
This UK-based group maintains an archive of educational materials on issues surrounding gender identity and transsexualism.

International Foundation for Gender Education
Advocacy group to promote understanding and acceptance of all people, and freedom of gender expression. 

Sylvia Rivera Law Project
Based in New York City, the SRLP works to improve access to social, health, and legal services for low-income people of color who are transgender, intersex, or gender non-conforming.

National Transgender Advocacy Coalition
Working for the advancement of civil rights for transgendered, intersexed, and gender variant people through lobbying in Washington and other legislative action.

National Center for Transgender Equality
A national social justice organization devoted to ending discrimination and violence against transgender people.

Transgender at Work Project
The TAW project addresses workplace issues for the transgendered, and provides resources for innovative employers to help transgendered employees.

Transgender American Veterans Association
The TAVA acts to ensure that transsexual and transgendered veterans receive appropriate medical care in accordance with Veterans Health Administration standards.

New York Transgender Rights Organization

Eminism.org - Emi Koyama's Activist Site
Great website by a self-identified "multi-issue social justice slut synthesizing feminist, Asian, survivor, dyke, queer, sex worker, intersex, genderqueer, and crip politics." Whew! Check out her downloadable genderfuck fliers, buttons, and other fun stuff.

GenderWarrior - Eli R. Green
Eli's work revolves around ending oppression based on gender identity and sexual orientation for all. Ze is also the founder and webmaster of Trans-Academics.org.

Translating Identity Conference
An annual academically oriented conference at the University of Vermont in Burlington focusing on gender and gender identities held in October.

Southern Comfort Convention
The world's largest transgender conference, held every year in Atlanta, Georgia.

Gender Odyssey
The largest national conference devoted to issues affecting FTM people, their families, and allies.

Chicago's Be-All
Transgender convention with seminars, vendors, and social events held annually in Chicago.

Diva Las Vegas
Billed as "a vacation, not a convention," this event is all about fun social events, with no seminars or speakers.

Lake Erie Gala
Without the formal workshops or lectures of other T conferences, but lots of planned activities for fun, friends and relaxation.
